Free OPAL ID sessions!



Some new OPAL sessions coming up for students on our courses...

To book any session please email bethan.stagg@plymouth.ac.uk stating date(s) and session(s) that you would like to attend. 


Memory enhancing techniques for botany
Would you like to learn fun, memory enhancing techniques for learning to identify and recall native plant species? We will be trialling photo identification keys and memorable word associations, for a selection of flowering plant species from woodland, grassland and garden habitats. Where location allows, we will also explore these species further in the field.

10-12 am, Sat 23 March - Schumacher College, Dartington*
10-12 am, Sat 30 March - Schumacher College, Dartington*
2 - 4 pm, Wed 27 March - Babbage (room location tbc)
2 - 4pm, Thurs 28 March - Babbage (room location tbc)

*Pick-up may be available to and from campus if required

Bryophyte (moss) identification sessions
If you were not able to attend our successful bryophyte sessions in December or January, here is a final opportunity to take part! Learn to identify a selection of common bryophyte species from woodlands around Plymouth using a new online bryophyte key.
